I’m a highly motivated and focused professional who strives for the best outcomes in everything that I do. Over the years I’ve supported clients and led delivery teams across the Asia-Pacific region in Australia, Japan, Singapore and now Hong Kong. This has provided me with great insights and appreciation of the capability, capacity and challenges working across different countries and how to best achieve consistent outcomes.

I come from a project and programme management technical background, primarily in the real estate and digital sectors. I specialise in regional and global portfolio management solutions to help our clients achieve better outcomes, assurance and benefits.

Q. What attracted you to join Turner & Townsend?

A. I first heard of Turner & Townsend when they acquired the Australian quantity surveying business Rawlinson’s in 2005. Soon after this I met various people from Turner & Townsend and started to learn about the global business, their approach, clients and projects. This attracted me to the company initially, but it was the people and culture that was the ultimate deciding factor. I wasn’t even looking for a new job at the time, but I was certain that Turner & Townsend was the company to grow my career and develop myself professionally.

Q. How do you contribute to Turner & Townsend making a difference?

A. Engaging with our clients, listening to what our they really need and want, and tailoring the right solution that exceeds their expectations. Through this we develop long-term trusted partner relationships. When challenges present themselves, I personally get involved to help resolve and find the solution required.

Q. Detail any specialist skills or experience for which you are known.

A. Setting up portfolio management solutions for some of the world’s largest corporate clients, delivering capital programmes across the Asia-Pacific region and worldwide, achieving visibility and consistency in programme performance through governance, digital data and technology, and driving continuous improvements and initiatives to deliver year-on-year benefits.

Q. Describe your typical day.

A. It’s challenging to describe a ‘typical’ day due to the diverse nature of our business, our clients, projects and people. However, most days will be a combination of meetings with various clients and colleagues discussing a whole range of topics from new business opportunities to service delivery standards and assurance, to team engagement and business performance.

Q. What do you most enjoy most about working at Turner & Townsend?

A. By far it is the great people that work within our business. I’m constantly impressed by the capability of our people, which also provides me with the opportunity to continuously learn and develop. I also love seeing the motivation of our people, and enjoy empowering and supporting them to overcome challenges and deliver great outcomes, as well as providing them with opportunities to grow and develop their own careers.

Q. How do you see your career progressing at Turner & Townsend?

A. From my current position as Managing Director, Asia, I see great opportunities ahead as the business continues to grow and expand. We have a fantastic ‘one’ business model which is truly integrated and global. This means we can be a true trusted advisor for a wide variety of clients and attract the best people from around the world to transform performance in the construction industry. This is immensely exciting for me!
