Helping young people to develop careers in construction.
For more than five years, we have been supporting Class Of Your Own in delivering the Design Engineer Construct! programme to students across the UK.
Children and young people on the programme are given a unique opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required for careers within architecture, engineering and construction.
We have recently partnered with the Nacro education centre in Newcastle to help deliver the foundation level DEC qualification.
Throughout the year, we will help students to complete the 100 hours of guided learning required for the qualification and as part of the partnership, we will be supporting Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) individuals.
Helping young people enter the world of work
The Nacro centre provides young people who are no longer in the mainstream school system with the opportunity to gain qualifications and experience that will help them to enter the world of work.
Through our partnership, colleagues from our Newcastle office recently had the pleasure of delivering a workshop to the first group of students.
