Supporting schools and education programmes in Indonesia
One of the many schools and education programmes we supported worldwide this year has been a school in West Java, Indonesia. This included repairing and painting two classrooms and improving the outside of the building.
Not only did our team continue to support the school through the pandemic but they also supported Habitat for Humanity’s COVID-19 relief effort by fundraising for nurse accommodation in Jakarta.
This was our second partnership school with Habitat for Humanity after we adopted a rural school in Sentul City, near Jakarta, in 2019.
Here, members of the South East Asia team visited the site and assisted with the finishing refurbishment works and carried out a workshop with 100 students to introduce them to the construction industry.
