In my role as an Associate Director, I lead our programme, project and portfolio management offering for our Dubai project management team, including managing key investments for clients in banking and automobile manufacturing. I have over a decade’s experience across multiple regions in our business, including Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

I joined our business in 2014 as an Assistant Project Manager in our Mumbai office. I gained experience in our India business over the next four years, relocating to different offices and working in our project management office (PMO) for a British multinational client.

As part of our global mobility programme, I relocated to our Dubai office in 2018 as a Senior Project Manager. During my time in our Middle East business, I have developed my leadership skills through managing the roll-out of a retail programme for a Japanese automobile manufacturing client and became the regional lead for the programme. In 2023, I was promoted to Associate Director.

Q. What attracted you to join Turner & Townsend?

A. The variety and scale of projects the business managed globally. Initiatives like relocating offers industry-leading opportunities for you to move internally between offices and regions where your skills and experience are most needed.

Q. How has your career at Turner and Townsend developed?

A. I appreciate how my career has developed since joining our Mumbai office in 2014 as an Assistant Project Manager because I’ve gained both technical and international experience across multiple regions and countries. Starting off, I managed small yet complex interior fit-outs before being entrusted with the responsibilities of large-scale regional programmes and roll-outs.

I worked across three offices in India before I relocated to Dubai as part of our global mobility programme, and this move broadened my understanding of the industry greatly, fostering promotions to Lead Cost Manager in 2021 and to Associate Director in 2023.

Q. Which project are you most proud of being involved in at Turner & Townsend?

A. I’ve taken great pride in providing regional PMO services for a Japanese automobile manufacturing client across Africa and the Middle East. I’ve supported them in setting up many markets for their retail concept, which has resulted in it being a successful commission for our business.

Q.  Detail any specialist skills or experience for which you are known

A. I have become a specialist in providing programme and portfolio management solutions for international clients, with extensive experience throughout set-up, operations and delivery for clients in sectors spanning banking, retail, automotive and industrial.

Q. What do you most enjoy most about working at Turner & Townsend?

A. I enjoy being part of a business that values and fosters an inclusive culture, even across different regional teams in a global setup, and a company that is embracing digital transformation in how we deliver our services and support our people globally.

Q. What is the emerging trend in your industry specialism and how are you responding to this?

A. The flexibility of the workplace is becoming increasingly important when servicing key banking clients on their office transformation programmes. We are providing guidance on this trend in the design phase by considering features that facilitate the implementation of hybrid-working policies.

These features can include intuitive booking platforms, zones for activity-based working (collaboration, focused work and relaxation), inclusive meeting technologies, eco-friendly environments and energy-efficient utilities.
