In my role as Director of Digital in Singapore, I lead teams on projects across Asia and globally to implement Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital twin construction, and overall digital transformation of our clients’ programmes.
My focus is to apply digital best practice and ensure the supply chain is equipped with the skills and systems for future ways of working to enable organisations to thrive in the digital age.

My passion for problem solving with creativity led me to explore the potential of BIM. BIM allows me to bridge the gap between identifying relevant technology and finding use cases that bring the most value to organisations.

Through my extensive collaboration with consultants, specialists, contractors and developers for nearly two decades, I have acquired a deep understanding of how to deliver high-impact projects and develop long-term relationships with clients in designing and executing solutions through BIM. Whether fostering global production hubs or establishing BIM governance, this has enabled me to transform teams, drive innovation and create lasting, futureproofed impact to the industry by championing the digitisation of design project management

Q. What attracted you to join Turner & Townsend?

A.  I was attracted first by the people in our Singapore business, but also by the opportunities to work on a wide spectrum of projects and specialise in implementing BIM and other digital tools into these projects.

Q. How has your career at Turner and Townsend developed?

A. I’m grateful for the growth of my career at Turner & Townsend, which has been shaped by both commission work with clients and involvement in initiatives like our Chairman’s Group. This is our internal research and development team where people from across our business are tasked to provide bold, insightful and practical solutions to real issues within our business and the markets in which we operate.

I was fortunate to be nominated to join the 2022/2023 group and the experience has been the catalyst for my career here – particularly as it’s a global initiative, allowing me to collaborate and network with colleagues across the world.

Q. Which project are you most proud of being involved in at Turner & Townsend?

A. Embracing global digitisation for a major financial institution. We started with BIM implementation and now we are digitising the way we deliver our client’s portfolio through insights from data. Seeing our team build our capability and show our increasing value to the client makes me very proud to be part of this team.

Q. How do you contribute to Turner & Townsend making a difference?

A. I contribute by truly understanding our clients’ needs and using this information to determine the correct digital solutions to develop and implement. Solving problems in such a way has a knock-on effect on efficiency and client satisfaction, opening up avenues for further collaboration.

Q. Detail any specialist skills or experience for which you are known

A. Implementing BIM across large-scale projects, including utilising laser scanning for visual scoping and efficient costing of work onsite. I am also exploring how to set up embodied carbon reporting through BIM, utilising our Embodied Carbon Calculator.

Q. How do you see your career progressing at Turner & Townsend?

A. I’m determined to develop our digital capability in Asia. The advisory space in the Asian market presents immense potential due to the nuances of the region, where the focus is often on driving value through productivity and leveraging skilled labour to identify areas for improvement.
