How we’ve transformed to create global impact.
In 1946, Cornelius Turner and Francis Ing created Turner & Ing – a small quantity surveying partnership in Darlington, UK.
Today, Turner & Townsend is a global business delivering major projects and programme management, cost and commercial management, sustainability and digital solutions.
But how did we get here?
Where others see complexity, we see opportunities for innovation – a mindset that has driven our rapid global expansion.
In 1956 we became Turner & Townsend, and by 1982 we took the first step towards becoming a global entity by opening an office in Johannesburg.
The nineties saw us go from strength to strength, establishing operations in Asia and opening five more offices in Africa.
In 1996, Turner & Townsend Group became our overall parent company, launching Turner & Townsend Management Solutions.
The turn of the millennium marked a significant era of expansion, as we set foot in the Americas and Australia, establishing a presence on six continents.
Today, we are majority-owned by CBRE Group Inc., the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, with our partners holding a significant minority interest.
Together with our clients and partners, we provide a premier programme, project and cost and commercial management offering in markets around the world.
Even though we're decades into our journey, it's only the beginning.
The world is constantly evolving and so are the needs of our clients.
That’s why we’ll continue to simplify challenges through our global knowledge base and through the expertise and commitment of our people.
Our goal is to make a meaningful difference, as we transform performance through digital solutions for a green, inclusive and productive world.
