Project management appointment for Melbourne Airport’s security expansion
Australia Pacific Airports Melbourne (APAM) has appointed us to project manage its North Infill Security Expansion. This is required as the airport increases its high-level service and security for international travellers and airlines.
The expansion will deliver baggage screening capability to European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) Standard 3 in the international terminal. When complete in 2025, the terminal will have five new baggage CT checked baggage screening (CBS) machines and additional storage capabilities.
Our team has been selected to project manage this transformational project following a ten-year relationship of successful project delivery on numerous projects at the airport, including T2 Security Expansion, T3 Check-in Upgrade, and the award-winning Rapid Set Pavement Replacement Programme.
Darren Munton, Head of Infrastructure, Australia and New Zealand, said:
We have a long and valued relationship with APAM and are extremely proud to be continuing our partnership to enhance the Airport’s security operations. Our team will harness our global aviation and baggage handling system expertise to support the transformation of the performance of security services and support the increase in international travel.
