High-rise residential

R&F Properties appointed us as its employer’s representative for project management and cost management services as it set out to deliver this mixed-use scheme in south west London’s Nine Elms area.

The premium residences will be surrounded by facilities in the heart of the UK capital and at 53 storeys, one of the 12 buildings will be the tallest residential building in London’s zone one.

Adding value

With our in-depth knowledge of the London market, we added value to the client’s delivery of this exciting project by leading on the procurement, contract administration, programme management, cost management, establishment of project processes and governance, and the general day-to-day management of their project.

Sustainable outlook

Thames City aims to be highly sustainable: it connects into Wandsworth Borough Council’s district heating network that serves a number of sites in the wider Nine Elms development area. The project has sought to procure, where possible, sustainable, ethical and responsibly-sourced and certified materials, supporting the BREEAM targets with the design currently achieving a 23 percent carbon reduction.

The scheme is also being designed to take into account changing living and working habits. The layouts of the residential towers have been designed to allow for flexible use by incorporating home-office study to accommodate flexible ways of working, while the commercial elements of the development are being designed to reflect emerging trends in the workplace and provide a flexible workspace.
