Anooj Oodit appointed to lead Turner & Townsend's Americas business

Turner & Townsend has appointed Anooj Oodit as Managing Director for the Americas, to support its future growth and ambitions across key target sectors.

He will also serve as a member of Turner & Townsend's global Executive Committee, helping to shape and execute the company's enterprise strategy and prioritise key initiatives and investments.

Anooj has been with the business for nearly 25 years and his appointment comes at a pivotal moment in Turner & Townsend's Americas expansion, as significant business growth is positioning the company for new opportunities, deeper client engagements and more complex commissions.

Anooj previously held roles in the UK real estate and infrastructure teams, before serving as both Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, and Managing Director for Asia.

In that role, Anooj oversaw Turner & Townsend's presence in the region expanding to 29 offices across 13 countries, with nearly 2,500 people. He assumes leadership of the company's Americas business from Murray Rowden, who will continue as Turner & Townsend's Global Head of Infrastructure.

The company experienced 12 years of strong global growth, with 2021 marking a record year with revenues increasing by 17.2 percent.

Turner & Townsend's footprint in the Americas stands at nearly 2,000 professionals across 36 offices, with nearly 1,400 employees in the U.S. The company are expected to more than double its business within the region by 2025.

The announcement of a new Managing Director for the Americas follows this month’s appointment of two key leadership roles within Turner & Townsend's USA business.

Finlay McLay was appointed as the Head of Natural Resources, with a particular focus on power and transmission, as well as supporting the company's clients in their energy transition journey.

Mark Bailey, a retired U.S. Army Colonel and Programme and Project Management specialist was named Head of Defence, focusing on growth and advisory services within the federal defence sector.

Anooj Oodit, Managing Director, Americas comments:

“Our Americas business has a fast-growing reputation with clients across the public and private sectors, and is primed to establish itself as the region’s leading asset and capital program professional services provider."

Our highly capable team is well placed to deliver ever more complex projects and programmes in infrastructure, real estate, and natural resources, particularly as clients navigate market challenges alongside the need to embed digital ways of working and ambitious net-zero targets."

“I look forward to leading this distinguished group as, together, we help shape our business priorities in the Americas.”
