Appointed by DATA4 to €250m Polish data centre campus
We have been appointed by DATA4 as project and cost managers for the new data centre campus in Poland. DATA4 is investing over €250 million to launch a state-of-the-art data centre campus in Jawczyce near Warsaw.
The campus will sit on four hectares of land and when fully developed by 2025 will offer 50MW of power capacity, enabling DATA4 to target Poland's hosting and co-location markets, and support the development of cloud service providers in central and eastern Europe. The project will further strengthen DATA4’s existing network of 25 highly-connected smart and scalable data centres across France, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain.
Olivier Micheli, Group CEO, DATA4, commented:
Poland, and in particular the Warsaw metro area, has huge potential for digital development and is a strategic junction for connections between western and eastern Europe. As well as Scandinavia, DATA4’s presence in Poland marks the next stage of our growth which will enable us to offer customers innovative and environmentally sustainable digital infrastructure that meets the needs of multiple industries.
Tomasz Łosek, Director and Sector Lead, said:
The data centre sector is rapidly growing in Poland, particularly in Warsaw, and we are pleased to be a part of this development in our local market. We are proud to be working with DATA4 on their newest campus in Warsaw with a focus on sustainability and alternative energy solutions.
Our Warsaw team is currently supporting the initial project phase due for completion in early 2023, combining our sector expertise locally and across Europe with our strong market knowledge.
