Awarded partnership with Homes England to drive net zero
We have been appointed to Homes England’s Development and Regeneration Technical Services Framework (DaRTS) (Lot 1), providing cutting-edge solutions to the organisation and its public sector partners in the acceleration of new homes, transformation of neighbourhoods and the drive towards achieving carbon net zero.
With an emphasis on strong placemaking, social value and net zero, the framework includes a range of services, including project management, cost management, architecture, masterplanning, engineering, stakeholder engagement and communications, and other specialist services. This will support the delivery of better homes of all tenures, stimulate investment and improve the supply of developable public land. It will run for a period of four years and is accessible for use by public sector bodies beyond Homes England, including local authorities.
This is the latest milestone in our long-established relationship with Homes England, having previously provided similar services through the organisation’s multi-disciplinary frameworks.
To deliver the full range of required professional services we have enlisted the support of several trusted partners with whom we have an established working relationship in successful delivery of projects. We have also introduced a number of regionally based small- and medium-sized companies to provide clients with bespoke teams comprising specialists with local knowledge in order to develop strong relationships and support the communities in which we work.
The appointment builds on our long-standing experience supporting the government’s housing accelerator and its partners to improve neighbourhoods and grow communities. Previously, we have led feasibility, design and/or delivery of regeneration and greenfield projects in Manchester, York, West Sussex, Cheshire, County Durham, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Enfield and Wandsworth.
Chris Sargent, Managing Director, UK Real Estate, said:
We and our supply chain are energised and excited to build on our relationship with Homes England and local authorities to help deliver great places and spaces that support communities and promote economic growth, and which address market failures through targeted public investment.
"Our expertise and approach provides flexibility to our clients in terms of the specialist consultants we use, ensuring we are inclusive and locally focused."
Barry Cummins, Chief Development Officer, Homes England, said:
We want to work with ambitious suppliers who can help us drive regeneration and housing delivery to create high-quality homes and thriving places across the country.
“Suppliers appointed to the new framework bring with them a wealth of knowledge and housing expertise that will enhance the work of Homes England. In addition to the re-procurement of a multidisciplinary lot providing a comprehensive range of technical and professional services, a second placemaking-focused lot will allow us to engage directly with specialists to help deliver our agenda to promote quality, decency, good design and sustainability.”
