Estates programme management for Department for Work and Pensions

We have been appointed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide programme management services across the entirety of its estate of over 1,000 properties.

The DWP, the UK’s largest public service department, serves more than 20 million claimants and customers across its remit of welfare, pensions and child maintenance with a broad estate of Jobcentres and service centres.

As the DWP works to meet Government’s net zero targets and to aid economic recovery by maximising employment, we will support the Department in delivering change and driving improvement to create a public estate that is fit for all of its customers and employees.

As well as delivering specialist complementary services such as programme and cost management advice, we will use the digital platform, PACE, to capture and record data from across the estate.

By blending data-led insight, professional expertise and digital capability, we will drive better project performance and greater assurance and consistency from the supply chain. The contract will last for three and a half years with the possibility of a one-year extension.

Chris Sargent, Managing Director, Project and Programme Management, said:

The Department for Work and Pensions has a vital role to play as the UK continues to recover from the impact of the pandemic, particularly as the country looks to boost growth in regional economies as part of the levelling up agenda.

"This partnership offers us the opportunity to deploy our expertise and digital capabilities to help the DWP deliver an efficient and effective estate for its employees and the public.  We are looking forward to working closely with the Department in achieving our shared objectives of creating a green, inclusive and productive government estate.”
