New Director of Supplier Diversity appointed in the USA

We have appointed Wayne Lambert as Director of Supplier Diversity in the USA, responsible for developing and leading a supplier diversity programme to increase the pool of vendors that our firm partners with and support economic development.

Wayne comes to the business from the public sector, where he most recently served as the Chief Diversity and Industry Relations Officer for the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC), focused on creating contract and capacity building opportunities for minority, women, and small businesses, and supporting workforce development in local communities.

Prior to this, he was the Deputy Director of Programs in New York City’s Mayor’s Office of Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE), where he also led efforts to create opportunities for small businesses and ensure compliance with the City’s M/WBE Programme.

Wayne brings over 15 years of experience in supplier and workforce diversity, working closely with agencies across all levels of government and private sector stakeholders.

His previous work experience in the public sector and his familiarity with the construction and professional services industries give him a broad view of industry trends and the challenges facing contractors in the supplier diversity space.

Wayne’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment in our expansion in the USA, as supplier diversity is a transformational priority for our core purpose to build a greener, more inclusive, and productive world.

John Robbins, Managing Director for the USA said:

“Bringing choice and opportunity to historically disadvantaged businesses is one of the most important investments our industry can make.”

Wayne’s best-in-class approach will support our clients in bringing more diversity to the supply chain, achieve greater participation goals, and enable more businesses to participate and level up to major projects.

Wayne Lambert, Director of Supplier Diversity said:

I am excited to lead our firm’s efforts for this very important initiative. It is imperative that we work with a diverse group of minority, women, and small businesses. The growth of the M/WBE and the small business community is a vital part of the economy, and we understand the role we play in reaching overarching goals.

"The purpose and values shared by the amazing team of professionals, along with steadfast support from leadership and the company’s collaborative approach will enable us to successfully build up a sustainable diversity programme and provide even greater support to our clients.”
