New lead appointed to grow major project portfolio and delivery in Asia
Based in Singapore, Simon Hume will lead Turner & Townsend's major projects proposition and strengthen the company's specialist delivery team expertise in the execution of projects across real estate, infrastructure and natural resources.
Turner & Townsend has appointed Simon Hume, a highly experienced project management and controls director, to its Asia business in the new role of Director for Major Projects in the region.
Simon’s core expertise is in the strategy, management and assurance of the safe, high-quality delivery for international major projects. His experience ranges from design through to commissioning, while meeting tight deadlines and complying with strict ethical contracting models to meet customer needs in the region.
He joins the business most recently from Microsoft, where he was Regional Director for the company’s data centre construction delivery in Southeast Asia. Trained as a mechanical engineer, Simon has over 25 years of experience in management and major project execution roles and has operated within the oil, gas and chemicals, and data centre construction sectors.
