Project management professionals given APM accreditation boost
We have been successful in renewing our accreditation by the Association for Project Management (APM) in recognition of our commitment and achievement against the APM’s definition of project management professionalism. Corporate Accreditation assesses an organisation’s professional development scheme, providing confidence to all stakeholders of its dedication to developing project professionals.
The APM is at the forefront of raising awareness and understanding of project management across industry, and its prominence has been significantly increased by the achievement of a Royal Charter in April 2017. The APM is the largest independent professional body of its kind in Europe and the only chartered membership organisation representing the project profession in the world.
Our application involved a rigorous process to document and evidence our project management professional development offering for assessment by the APM. The process took several months to complete and included a detailed written submission and a subsequent interview with an APM assessor.
Our accreditation application resulted in an improved score over our 2020 application and is one of the highest-ever scores awarded by the APM in recognition of our continued development as a business with respect to professional development.
Garry Murphy, UK Head of Project Management, Infrastructure said:
“Being re-accredited by the APM for the fourth successive time and progressively increasing our score is testament to our robust and wide-ranging approach to the continuous development of our project management professionals. This is a fantastic achievement and one we as a business should be very proud of, plus it also serves to demonstrate the industry-leading people and services we offer our clients.”
Caspar Bartington, Head of Commercial Partnerships, APM, said:
"We congratulate Turner & Townsend on their successful reaccreditation. This achievement demonstrates a true commitment to excellence in the organisation’s approach to project management."
As a highly-valued Corporate Partner of APM, Turner & Townsend has shown innovation and leadership within our profession for many years. Their latest re-accreditation with APM will add further value to their team, customers and stakeholders.
"APM’s corporate accreditation is a widely-recognised mark of quality for organisations, training providers and academic institutions, and offers assurance for those wanting to access the best project management professional development services available."
