Scottish Water partnership renewed

We have been reappointed to Scottish Water’s commercial services framework – supporting the delivery of a major ongoing programme of capital investment across the country.

The framework covers a range of services including quantity surveying, cost auditing, project controls, risk management, and contractual assurance for capital projects. It will run for an initial period of three years, with options for further extensions on an annual basis thereafter.

The renewal coincides with the new SR21 regulatory period for water in Scotland up to 2027, which will see Scottish Water focus on investment in the network to achieve great value and financial sustainability, secure net zero and deliver service excellence for its 5m customers.

This is the latest milestone in our long-established relationship with Scottish Water Capital Investment, which has included work on its cost consultancy framework and the delivery of major projects such as the £100m Shieldhall Strategic Tunnel, Scotland’s largest wastewater tunnel.

The appointment builds on our longstanding experience to support water and utility companies to deliver more resilient and future-focused assets, in light of pressure on networks and climate change. This includes building on the business’ work with Anglian Water on its commercial out performance and construction economics framework and on Southern Water’s business management consultancy framework.

David Borwick, Project Director said: “The whole team are energised and excited to build on our strong relationship with Scottish Water. We will be tackling key investment challenges – helping to deliver on Scottish Water’s strategic plan and broader purpose to ‘support a flourishing Scotland’.

Our expertise in delivering major projects and programmes in the utilities and water sectors, in the UK and internationally, will be brought to bear as we ensure an outcomes focussed approach is applied to meeting Scottish Water’s strategic ambitions.
