Senior appointment in Canada boosts infrastructure capability
Today we announced the addition of Julian Bartlett as Head of Infrastructure, Canada. In this position, Julian will develop and execute a long-term growth strategy for the Canadian infrastructure business.
Julian joins us from our global head office in the UK, where notably he served as Head of Cost and Controls on the Crossrail project. Julian brings over 25 years of experience in commercial management from a wide range of UK infrastructure projects.
Instrumental in establishing and governing all the commercial control processes for the Crossrail program, Julian subsequently led the commercial and controls team at London’s Heathrow Airport.
Gerard McCabe, Managing Director, Canada, said: “Canada’s recent infrastructure investments are in the hundreds of billions of dollars. As the country invests in world-class infrastructure, to power the economy and transition towards net zero, we are bringing the best talent from our global business to work on these diverse projects across the country.”
This appointment is part of our growth strategy to bring a modern vision and fresh approach to how major infrastructure programs are delivered in Canada. Julian brings knowledge and best practices from some of the most highly regarded projects in Europe, allowing our clients to benefit from that insight.
Julian Bartlett, Head of Infrastructure, Canada, said: “I am excited to join the Canadian business and look forward to bringing high-value services to our clients. Together with our strong and talented team in our infrastructure group, it will be exciting to deliver on Canada’s infrastructure goals in the coming years and decades.”

Julian’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment in the expansion of our Canadian and North American operations, with new opportunities, deeper client engagements and more complex project wins.
