Turner & Townsend appoints Toshio Kosuge as Director of Clean Energy and Transmissions in Japan

Turner & Townsend has appointed Toshio Kosuge as the global professional service company’s director of clean energy and transmissions in Japan.

Based in Tokyo, he will play a significant role in strengthening the company’s capability to deliver clean energy projects and programmes across North Asia. 

With over 25 years of global experience, Toshio brings extensive expertise in leading offshore and onshore wind farm projects and infrastructure development. His career spans multiple key markets, including Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Maldives, and Pakistan, including work on wind turbine supply, installation and commissioning. 

Toshio joins Turner & Townsend from one of Japan’s leading renewable energy power development and generation companies, where he served as deputy project manager for a major offshore wind farm project. 

This appointment addresses the rising regional demand for sustainable and efficient energy solutions, driven by Japan’s goals to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. As the Japanese government accelerates efforts to expand the renewable energy sector, Toshio’s appointment positions Turner & Townsend to deliver resilient and impactful sustainability projects that help shape a cleaner, greener future.
