Turner & Townsend Raises £1 Million for Action for Children, Supporting Young People in Need
Turner & Townsend is proud to announce that it has raised £1m in support of Action for Children since the partnership began in 2015.
All funds have been directed to the Turner & Townsend Education Fund, which provides vital support to young people across the UK through £50 grants for school essentials, helping them access the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
Over the course of this partnership, Turner & Townsend has helped thousands of children overcome barriers to education by funding grants for essential items such as learning materials, technology, and other resources.
This milestone underscores the company’s commitment to addressing the growing challenges faced by young people and aligns with its broader strategy of supporting youth development and creating lasting social value.
The need for support has never been greater. In 2022-2023, the number of children living in poverty increased by 100,000 compared to the previous year, reaching 4.3 million—or 30 percent of children in the UK.
These figures underline the importance of the Turner & Townsend Education Fund, which offers a lifeline to families struggling to make ends meet and ensures children are not held back by financial hardship.
Turner & Townsend is now working with Action for Children to reach its next ambition: delivering 15,000 Education Fund grants. This shared mission aims to provide even more young people with the tools and opportunities they need to build a brighter future.
