Turner & Townsend reappointed by Standard Chartered to support its global portfolio review

Turner & Townsend has been reappointed by Standard Chartered as the leading international Bank’s global real estate integrator programme office (IPO) for the next five years as an evolvement from an initial Office programme remit.

Turner & Townsend will provide insight, governance and assurance for Standard Chartered through a refreshed scope looking at office, retail and sustainability across its global footprint including portfolio management, programme management, cost and commercial management, procurement, contracts and compliance services.

Turner & Townsend will establish a portfolio management office to guide the business’ strategic transformation, building on the long-standing partnership between the two firms, which began in 2018. Alongside Standard Chartered’s key real estate partner network, this will also provide governance of all change projects aligned to the Bank’s strategic objectives enabling efficient delivery. Supported by cost management to maximise returns on investment, the remit will also focus on benchmarking and transparency through Turner & Townsend’s digital tools and solutions.

Over the past seven years, the collaboration has resulted in simplification and streamlining of operations, enhancing the impact of Standard Chartered’s corporate real estate and solutions (CRES) on the wider business. Turner & Townsend brings extensive experience in global real estate into this role, as it currently works with 50 per cent of the top 20 financial holdings companies in the world and has delivered countless major successful real estate programmes globally.

Brian Shuptrine, Managing Director, Asia at Turner & Townsend, commented:

"Like Turner & Townsend, Standard Chartered is committed to partnerships that make the difference for its clients and communities."
