Turner & Townsend supporting major capital works for Blackburn with Darwen Council
Turner & Townsend has been appointed by Blackburn with Darwen Council as Capital Delivery Support Partner to help accelerate the delivery of the council’s ambitious growth projects and programmes.
As part of the three-year contract, the global consultancy will provide full project and cost and commercial management support services.
This includes four important new strategic infrastructure improvement projects, including the major works at J5 of the M65 to help unlock over 2,000 new jobs, support to progress the North East Blackburn masterplan – a new housing development capable of delivering 1,500 new homes – and major upgrades to regional cultural facilities.
Working in partnership with CBRE as property consultants, Turner & Townsend will help support on project management as well as internal processes and procedures while offering knowledge transfer to in-house resources.
