Winners in the Project Controls During Covid Times category at the Asia-Pacific Project Controls Awards 2022
Our Australia team has won the Asia-Pacific Project Controls During Covid Times award at the 2022 Asia-Pacific Project Controls Awards for our programme management office (PMO) on the Australian Rail Track Corporation’s (ARTC) Inland Rail programme.
The Project Controls Expo is the world’s largest project controls event, a global platform for leading the development and continuous advancement of project controls by acknowledging innovations and excellence in the industry.
As one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the world, Inland Rail will transform Australia’s freight networks, connecting regional towns to commercial markets. Its impact will drive economic efficiency for both producers and consumers to ultimately revitalise regional economies, boosting Australia’s GDP by AUD $16bn during project delivery and the first 50 years of operation.
Our PMO team, supported by SNC-Lavalin, enhanced project and programme controls, governance processes to support effective decision-making during the COVID-19 pandemic. To enable this, we developed the ‘Inland Rail Way’ ensuring fit-for-purpose project management and controls focused on creating an environment of continuous improvement, active engagement and a dynamic approach to project innovation.
Anooj Oodit, Managing Director, Asia and ANZ said:
The Project Controls During Covid Times award acknowledges that our market-leading PMO approach provides our clients with clarity, creates value and drives better outcomes, which were all the more important given the significant social, environmental and economic challenges faced in that period. For our Inland Rail PMO team to be recognised by the Project Controls Expo is a testament to their commitment to set new benchmarks in the project controls profession and transform performance for our industry.
