Cookie policy

22 JULY 2024

This website uses cookies. You can find out more about cookies, how we use them and how to manage them below. By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this cookie policy.

What are cookies and why do we use them?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They can improve your experience of using a site by, for example, remembering your preference settings. Cookies may be either first-party cookies set directly by us to your device, or third-party cookies set by a third-party provider on our behalf. To learn what cookies are used on this website see the cookie panel below.

Session cookies and persistent cookies

The length of time cookies will stay on your device depends on whether it is a 'persistent' or 'session' cookie.

The cookie panel also details whether a cookie is a ‘session’ cookie, which means it is only stored temporarily while you visit a site or states the length of time the cookie will be stored as a file on your device (a ‘persistent’ cookie).

Persistent cookies remain on your device and are activated each time you visit a site so that it can, for example, remember your log-in details. Session cookies are deleted when you close a browser window or tab.

Manage cookies in your browser

Disabling a category of cookie does not delete the cookie from your browser – to do this you need to change the settings in your browser.

You can change your browser settings to refuse new cookies, disable existing ones or to notify you when new ones are sent to your device. Many browsers provide information via the ‘Help’ menu. Detailed guidance can be found at www.allaboutcookies.org.

Please be aware however that if you refuse or disable cookies, some website functionality may be lost, for example you may not be able to watch a video.

Cookie panel

The panel below explains the cookies we use and why, including third-party cookies created by parties other than Turner & Townsend. For details on how third parties use the data they collect, please read their privacy policies. We update this list from time to time so please check back regularly.
