UK Government supply chain payment statement

Turner & Townsend in the UK is committed to fair and transparent relationships with its suppliers, which includes payment practices.

Certain UK entities are in scope of the reporting requirements of the UK Government’s ‘Business payment practices and performance’, and we report our payment history for those entities bi-annually.

Turner & Townsend’s policy is to pay suppliers based on the terms agreed with them. Our standard payment terms are net 30 days from the date of a valid and accepted invoice; these terms may vary where approved individual supplier agreements override standard terms.

In relation to UK Government contracts and to comply with the Fair Payment Charter, we undertake regular reconciliation of our supplier statements to identify and resolve aged items in a timely manner.

A number of measures are in place to address payment on-time performance. These include:

  • a focus on supplier statement reconciliations
  • enhanced reporting to identify issues, and
  • additional training in place for all teams.
