Project overview

An integrated, patient-centred healthcare service for Western Sydney

Western Sydney is the fastest-growing Local Health District in New South Wales and the government is responding with a AU$910m investment in a new hospital at Rouse Hill. Designed as part of a broader, integrated network, the new facility will offer far more than a traditional stand-alone hospital. It will be fully connected – not only to tertiary and quaternary services, but also to the community it serves.

The hospital will support modern, ambulatory models of care, providing diagnostics, treatment, rehabilitation and health promotion closer to home. Advanced digital infrastructure will extend care beyond the hospital walls, including virtual outreach services. With strong links to primary care providers and easy access to public transport, the hospital will give patients more choice and flexibility, supporting care across the entire Western Sydney Local Health District.

project story

Delivering a hospital for the future

We were appointed to lead the project management for Rouse Hill Hospital, guiding the project from design validation through to completion. In a complex and fast-moving delivery environment, we’re focused on maintaining cost control, ensuring transparent governance and driving performance at every stage.

By embedding Western Sydney Local Health District’s best-practice design principles, we’re strengthening collaboration, supporting consistency across the district and shaping a hospital that’s both flexible and future-ready.

Meeting the needs of a growing community

With the region's population growing rapidly over past decade, Rouse Hill Hospital will add vital healthcare capacity to Western Sydney. It’s designed to meet today’s needs while staying flexible for the future. As the first public hospital within 10km of Rouse Hill, it will transform access to care for the North West Growth Area.

Sustainability is embedded throughout, with the hospital designed to meet high environmental standards in energy use, resilience and materials. Connecting with Country principles are reflected across the project, informed by engagement with Aboriginal communities..

More than a standalone hospital, Rouse Hill will be digitally enabled, patient-focused, and fully integrated with the broader health network.
