Turner & Townsend’s Birmingham team is moving into a new home at 55 Colmore Row, a Grade II listed building in the heart of the Colmore Business District. The relocation marks a significant milestone for the team, reflecting its sustained growth.
The prime Grade A office space at 55 Colmore Row aims to create a productive and inspiring environment for both employees and clients, with its blend of restored Victorian architecture with modern design. Once a grand banking hall, the building has been carefully restored and repurposed, earning the prestigious BCO Refurbished/Recycled Workplace Award.
The Birmingham team has grown significantly over the past decade, rising from fewer than 100 people in 2015 to more than 400 in 2025. This expansion has been driven by strong performance across real estate, infrastructure, defence and energy and natural resources. The move to a larger, more prominent location will set the team up for further, sustained growth, as well as to support current employees with premium office space.
The new office provides high-quality, flexible workspaces, including open-plan collaborative areas, private booths for focused work and sustainably sourced furnishings that support both productivity and wellbeing. The design fosters a dynamic and connected working culture while respecting the heritage of the building.
“Our new location at 55 Colmore Row gives us a space that not only reflects our growth and the calibre of projects we are delivering but also provides an inspiring and flexible environment for our people.
We are excited to be moving into a building that blends heritage with innovation and that supports our sustainability commitments.
The relocation underlines Turner & Townsend’s long-term investment in the Birmingham market and in our capabilities, to help shape the city’s built environment. By combining heritage, sustainability and contemporary design, the new office provides a platform for continued success in delivering outstanding outcomes for clients across the Midlands and beyond.”
