Turner & Townsend bolsters its global clean energy expertise with three new appointments

Turner & Townsend has strengthened its energy and natural resources team with three new directors, supporting the delivery of transformative clean energy and electrical transmission programmes worldwide.

Professor Faye Banks has been appointed as Turner & Townsend's Director of Transmission and Distribution in the UK. In her new role, she will lead its work across electricity networks to support the reliable and cost-effective delivery of power.  

Faye previously worked for Siemens Digital Grid and the National Grid where her responsibilities spanned large capital projects and operations. She brings 28 years of experience in electrical engineering and is a visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Engineering.  

Andrew Baker joins the global professional services company as the Europe Lead for Energy and Natural Resources, taking responsibility for its work across clean, low carbon and conventional energy, transmission and mining throughout the Europe region.  

Andrew has worked in the conventional and low carbon energy sector for more than 20 years, with a focus on offshore delivery. Most recently, he held the position of Executive Vice President for DORIS Group’s renewable business line, leading the delivery of sustainable energy projects spanning the UK, Europe, the USA and Taiwan, Japan and South Korea

Alongside Faye and Andrew’s hires, Mark Savage has been appointed to Global Sector Lead for Nuclear and Head of Programme Services. In this role, Mark is responsible for the quality and innovation of the compay's technical services across the energy and natural resources market.  

Mark brings over 25 years of experience across energy and infrastructure programmes, including two decades in our business. He is an industry-leading expert in major project set up and delivery, working across critical major projects to ensure their performance.
